Inner child poetry

I have something to share
You might say it’s not true
But I’ve been made aware
Marigolds are sometimes blue
I'll tell the story
But open your mind
It's about glory
The most precious kind
Many moons ago
Underneath our sun
Down near a meadow
Occupied by one
Was a little girl
Wandering about
Making her own world
Living without doubt
Her ideas were gold
Her dreams were pastel
Three-thousand years old
But you couldn’t tell
She perfumed the air
And harmonized sound
She had midnight hair
And a sunflower crown
She loved what she did
Working for hours
And like any kid
She had her powers
Flying was easy
She didn’t mind heights
The winds there were breezy
She designed them just right
Her world had six moons
They circled the sun
And seven baboons
Watched over each one
She painted the sunsets
Just using her flowers
And she often forgets
That she's using her powers
The sky was her friend
They talked time to time
The bouquets she'd blend
Helped each color shine
The clouds were fluffy
And bouncy inside
The rainbows were puffy
She used them as slides
The sun and the moons
Would dance in the sky
The stars were balloons
The comets were pie
The grass was sublime
The trees gave advice
Their two cents were dimes
Their tough-love was nice
One day as she slept
Which she hardly did
The wind oddly swept
In some different kids
These kids were from Earth
Their journey was far
They said that from birth
You know who you are
"You're given a name
And told what to do
It's all just a game
We're looking for clues"
She smiled and said,
"Well how can I help?"
"It's a long road ahead
We need someone else"
"I could ask the sky
Or maybe the sun?"
They laughed till they cried
They began poking fun
"Or maybe the baboons?
Often they're smarter"
And just like buffoons
They all laughed harder
"Your world isn't real
It doesn't exist
No matter what you feel
No matter what you wish"
Something new happened
Her mind filled with doubt
Anxiety tapped in
What was this about?
The vibrance then drifted
Along with her world
All that was gifted
By this little girl
“But, my baboons!"
Still they laughed
"My stars, my moons!
Where are they at?"
As the laughter grew
It made her feel small
What she thought she knew
Wasn't there at all
Then she remembered
Advice from the trees
Words of surrender
That put her at ease
“I know who you are
Because I am you
We come from a star
We are what we choose
Helping others grow
Allows you to bloom
Because of your glow
You outshine the gloom
You're made of pure light
And all things stupendous
Your future is bright
This journey is endless
Just be who you are
With all of your might
And if it's bizarre
It's probably just right.”
She took a deep breath
And knew what to do
"I'll make you a bet
My marigolds are blue"
She led them to where
Her garden once was
But all that was there
Was just doubtful fuzz
"I don't understand
How could this be?
This place was once grand!
A great sight to see!"
She described the sky
And all of her sunsets
She wanted to cry
This made her upset
Then one kid shouted
"Everyone come quick!
A marigold sprouted!
Is this a trick?"
"I can see it too!"
Another kid said
"They really are blue
And others are red."
"She made this whole world
All with her own mind!
She's more than one girl
She's one of a kind!"
The world then returned
But this time with more
New friendships were earned
Now time to explore!
